Technical Slack Seatbelts!!

Hi

Just bought a JTD 2001 a couple of days ago. The car had been stood for 2 years. All the seat belts are 'floppy' I am unable to get them to tighten up using the usual slow feed return process. Does anyone have any ideas and/or instructions on how to get to them to tighten them back up please?!

Do they go back at all if you pull em all the way out?
An old trick on seat belts if they weren't returning properly and mot was due was to pull em all way out and spray mr sheen both sides and work em backwards and forwards.

I haven't pulled them all the way out, but they do go back some of the way. It has just been MOT'd, surely it shouldn't have passed if they were like this?!?! I'll try your method tomorrow. Cheers

Yep. I have this issue, too. Been meaning to try the Mr Sheen thing for a while......
