General Sisley seats

Hi everyone- I’m new! I have a 1991 Panda 4x4 Sisley which has the same problem on all the seats. The material around the piping is “loose” or just too much and looks like it needs to be trimmed. Is this a common problem and how should I fix it please?

this is actually how they are meant to be by design. i think they get the idea of the tassels from original native American clothing styles. it works with the canoe badges the car has. i have had a few seats in almost new condition with the same design.
