General Sisley on Superstar Wishlist??!

Well blow me down, who "rocks" up to my front door a little while ago to ask about Howie my Sisley........

None other than global superstar & mega car nut, JK

No seriously, he did!

Howie had caught his attention driving past, and he stopped for a chat. Seemed genuinely interested in a 4x4 Panda ( VmanC now's your chance to sell an expensive one.....), and explained about his 500 Abarth etc.

Seemed like a nice chap too.

He spotted the red scraggy 4x4 too, which I explained I'd just bought for £1500. When I asked if he was going to the NEC show he wasn't sure & mentioned something about the delivery of a Bentley Continental - I guess that probably costs more! :yum:

Wouldn't it be great to see JK hoofing around in an old Panda 4x4 - he can leave all those Ferrari's/Porsche's/Lambo's in their heated garages & head off into the snowy Chiltern Hills this Winter. Maybe one day! :slayer:

I do have 2 independent witnesses though - they can be provided if necessary!!

I'll be honest, my decorator came in & said you've got a visitor, it's JK. Visitors are not unusual (mainly people dropping off records), so I sort of laughed & went to the door (where JK was looking at the Panda). I did apologise to Simon the decorator as I assumed he was joking!

No crack pipe here - everything is lagged ready for the Winter.

Yeah, you see why would JK be interested in a Sisley with all his money & expensive cars? But he was - and I like his old 230TE he arrived in too (a great champagne green metallic & I'd happily have one of those). :worship:

Are you quite sure this wasn't a hallucination brought on by paint fumes?

BTW, I had Elton John in the back of the Alessi the other day - he wanted something a little less conspicuous than that bright red corniche from the Nikita video

Does sound like a pretty cool encounter and great he was driving another retro car ( I'm a big fan of the merc 230 te too) and not some outlandish super car It shows he really is a true car nut

Yes, sorry it was the less notorious JK - sorry, should that be famous?

I must admit I particularly like this TE - I wouldn't normally go for pale green metallic but I've see this around town quite a bit & it's just retro enough now, and a good retro colour. There is a nice met blue '60's (? Not very good with these) Ferrari convertible I've seen a few times in the High Street - that looks and sounds the part, but I more often see the Merc & a couple of other less obvious cars. There's a lot of expensive stuff, but yes I think you're right, and a Panda got his attention after all! :slayer:
