Technical silicone victim?

Hay guys,

i think i might have fallen foul of the silicone epedemic, at the start of a jernouy my injector light comes on and today i have been feeling a real loss of power, it not running unstable like when you disconnect an injector just pretty gutless and have to rev her up high to get going.

wondering if my injectors have been stuffed as well as my lambda?

The silicone effects from the reports were more instant. People were stalling within miles of the fuel station.

if i get a chance later today i'm going to replace all my injectors with my spare set and see how she is then.

For the injector light to come on, its lost a sensor reading or the reading has gone out of range.
Check the CAS sensor on the cams, MAP sensor at manifold, TPS sensor and OS sensor [lamba].

personally i highly suspect the lambda, the TDC and cam sensors will stop the car running ( i know this from experience). there is a MAP sensor on my marea and the MAF is fine, i'll order up a Lambda

Looks like my Lamda sensor has also failed due to bad fuel.
I've had no loss of power but the engine management light has come on.
The ECU was read and reset. Error code was P1133. I had no problems on short journeys but on a long journey the light came on again.
I am getting the sensor replaced next week (aprox. £150 fitted).
I've had no injector issues or warning light.

Nope, if the ecu loses the CAS signal, it sets the injectors from sequential to firing all the time. this causes a chattering from the injectors. Its just about audiable. Power will be down, and engine will perform worse like it is with you now.
You could of course have a collapsing Catalyst. This partially blocks the exhaust, and causes poor general running.
Regarding the Lamba. Sometimes running a couple of injector cleaners through the system can sort the lamba out. Also pouring a dessert spoonful of Redex down each plug hole can also do the trick.
