guys,

is there any supplier you know of that will do a short shifter for my 1.6 sx brava?

had one on my last car and it made a really big difference.

oh, and any advice on how to get it on a brava would also be much appriciated :p

failing that do most people on here just chop the stick down to shorten the throw? if so how much is considered to be a good amount as its kinda a one shot deal lol

cheers

i always chop my stick down, usually by 2", but it depends on the car and the gearknob i intend to use. i think i removed 2" on my bravo. i removed the same on my alfa but i think the alfa needs even more taking off.

cheers, dont know if ill get it on the brava but always used to put a big smile on my face when you could get the car to do a quick wheel spin screech on the change up from 2nd to 3rd...... especially on 18's :slayer:

yes, but you need to modify the lift up mechanism, which may require a bit of creativity. in the past i've had to shortern the cable or chop a section out the plastic rod and then glue it back together. it depends on the car, i'm not familiar with the bravo lift up mechanism.
