Technical shock shock what a shock !!!

Never ever tried to fit lowering springs to standard shock !!!!! (My mistake completely !!! )

Tired today , and there are no compression at all on the springs !!

My questions is,

to 'correctly' fit these springs do i need shock with shorter piston ?

Anyone have any experience with these shocks ?? Do they have shorter postion ??

Any recommendation on shocks ? (i know i shouldn't do this but i am open to second hand shocks , if u anyone got spare!)

I'm not sure what you're trying to do. Are you fitting lowering springs to non-Sporting shocks? How much lower are they? AFAIK, the Sporting shocks are shorter.

It is going on to sporting shock ... but still but once i put the top mount on, there are no compression on the springs

I guess lower the car by 50mm ???

Doesn't help a lot. The illustration only shows front springs. You should get 2 parallel springs (the rear) and 2 "cone shaped" springs (the fronts). Worth contacting them as you won't be the first person to have been sent the wrong springs. (Not necessarily by these people.)

The maximum drop I would recommend on a standard shock is 35mm, no more, as once you drop it lower the shock is not working in its correct parameters and will lead to a very unbalanced car with the spring rate not matching the shock. Plus the shock will no doubt start to leak not long after fitting them as it is compressed far too much putting the inside under undue pressure's.

To obtain a drop of that much you need correctly matched springs and shocks.

thanks for the info ... lowering my car has been postponed till i get shock !!!

Anyone have any experenice with technix shock (german producer) ????

James100hp and his car were running standard shock and either 40mm or 60mm gmax springs (think 60mm).


It's not something I'd do, but its still working, and is now his sisters car.

Hmm .... is just when everything back in one piece (shock spring and top mount ).

The springs doesn't get held in place (like the standard spring would), it moves around freely ~~

Also i could put the spring on without using any spring compressors ~~

Just doesn't add up

I'll even tried to put some spacers inbetween the top cup and the mount but still doesn't work

fk spring, but i still to confirm if they are the 40 mm drop or 50 mm drop ones ..
