Any of you fine members have one of those gated shifter plates installed in your car? If so, could you share some pics of it in the car, please? I can’t seem to find any installed pics, only the part itself from sellers.

Many thanks!

Here you go. I can’t tell you who supplied it as it was already fitted to my car.

Thank you!

I've been tinkering with my new 3D printer and prototyping a gated shifter box. I've got a few versions mocked up and plan to install one today to see if I like it. The current version is the 3D model one with a little pocket for your cellphpone on the LH side. If so, I plan to have one printed out of stainless steel or see if I can convert it to sheetmetal or something. I think milling it out of billet would be prohibitively expensive, but I'm exploring all options.

What do you guys think so far? Happy to take inputs and once I get some road tests in, I'm happy to make some for members if they're interested.

Hi Matt; it is not just the shape--it is also the spring-loaded mechanism that needs to be attended to. I have one in my "next-but-one project-box"---a 5-speed gear-box. I have the actual "gear-box + 5-speed conversion" but it still needs to be built-up with the diff and bell-housing. However, this is not going to happen until the winter of 26/27 at the earliest as I still have to get my "next-project" finished, fitted and fettled"---a '695SS' engine. Would it help you if I LENT you my '5-speed' gate so that you can see how it actually goes together. You could then "back-engineer-and-copy" the gate.
There is one (biggish) fly in the ointment with regard to getting the 'gate' to you, so I will contact you direct to discuss our options, but you are welcome to borrow my 5-speed 'gate' if you think that will be of help you.
Ciao
Tom

With that... here's the current iteration, complete with high-speed rubber bands off some asparagus. The final version will have, let's say, a more tailored spring mechanism. 🤣
