hi i bought a used fiat 500L had compressor trouble had to change everything, compressor, condensor, thermostat and evaporator. they had to take off the dash and it was in the garage for about two months. my shift knob was peeling just a tiny bit, tiny tiny tiny bit. like tiny grains. when they gave it back to me, they returned it to me like this said it was from being in the garage. it happened just like that. i was surprised that inner part was bits and pieces. anyone seen this happen before. the other thing si i am looking for a replacement and they come up as automatic but they are not. the automatic gear knows are long, a but confused to what to order.
