Hi guys

I own a 2007 Panda and it is time for a service, does anyone know if I have to have it done by Fiat?! I dont want to ask the dealer ecause he isbound to sya yes either wa.

Thanks in advance

If you ask you will find garages will give you the option, if you use the 'search' function you will find countless threads on this subject.

In a nutshell the answer is no, however soe dealer prices are often on par with or less than independent (VAT) garages so the choice is yours.

Thanks! I will have another look, I did the search but nothing answered my questios but will have another look

ok just to clarify all fiat cars when bought new must have its service and mots done at the place you bought it in the first 5 years otherwise if anything goes wrong with the car and they find that it was due to the fact the car has not been serviced properly they will more then likely have your 5 year warentee canceled and trust me you will need it. It will save you hundreds of pounds as most problems in the first 5 years can be claimed of the warentee.

Wrong. The EU ruled quite some time ago that as long as you use a VAT registered garage and they use genuine Fiat parts, you do not need to use a specific dealer to keep the warranty intact.

The EU rule is called the Block Exemption Regulation (BER) and its under the Commission Regulation (EC) No. 1400-2002 dated 31 July 2002
