I found this free download of a comprehesive guide called "Solex: Selection and Tuning of the Carburetor."

This was written probably in the late fifties by the Arnolt Corp. This company imported and modified European cars into the USA. [ame]http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arnolt[/ame]

What a comprehensive guide. Many things could be applied to most carbs.
