Selecta specialist in Northampton area?

Ok, so my 17 year old Panda Selecta (automatic transmission) is poorly, we have changed the selecta gear switch and she still isn't working. We have been quoted over £1,000 at an Automatic specialists in Kettering (near Northampton).
Does anyone know of, or has used, a garage in Northampton that they can recommend please? Last hope now as I am going to have to get rid of her, I need a reliable car. Thankyou for reading this.

Thank you for your reply. I have emailed them but one garage in Northampton quoted me almost £1,000. I think I might have to scrap her

I emailed them and hubby spoke to them this afternoon. Very helpful we are taking panda over next Wednesday for them to look at. He thinks (or hopes) it could be either of 2 things, but we will know more next week. We are going over in 2 cars in case she has to stay there. Fingers crossed it is good news as I am fond of the Panda, even if she is temperamental.
