Screwdrivered lock no-more?

Ok, I know this has happened to alot of people, but I couldn't find what I was looking for. I've seen mentioned that after a lock being screwdrivered or whatever some people have welded a metal plate behind the lock to stop it being able to be done again. Could anyone give me a pic or some sort of measurements so I can make one up.

Thing is.........the thief will just smash a window & gain access that way,do any Fiats have double locking? much more effective.
