Scratch in clear plastic

How easy would it be to remove a scratch in the clear plastic in front of the instrument panel?

The scratch isnt particularly deep, and is only really visible from an angle or when the instrument back lights are on.

I was thinking normal car body polish might be worth a try?

I would not use car body polish as most of them contain solvents which will create a haze on the plastic.
Caravans have plastic windows which are constantly getting scratched. Most caravan shops stock products such as 'Fenwicks Windowize' which I have used with success.
I think this should do the trick for you
