Hi everyone...
I found (by mistake - didn't know that in that place was scrapyard) Panda M reg...driver doors rusted badly but rest looks ok...(more less, no time to check)
I asked him if I can take all car and he said that can sell only parts...
can't sell all car...:(
What do you thing...why?

There is scrap yard near Melbourn
http://www.melbourne-autos.co.uk/
I never found them :(
but I found quite big scrap yard here:
Beechwood > Scrap Yards in Kingston Upon Hull
Tel: 01430 860453 - Beechwood Filling Stn Market Weighton Rd, Holme-on-spalding-Moor, York, North Yorkshire, YO43 4ED

but they're not cheap...

and when I worked for multidrop company I found one more (cars not older then 5-9 years)
I don't remember...but I think it was somewhere there (in some industrial estate)-you can kill me I don't remember where it was...L(

You can re-register a car. Is classed as first registration again I think. I know someone who's done it.

It's it in tact or been in a knock? Could be CAT - B if in a knock. Then can be for parts only :(

how long ago, if a scrappy sells a car that has a cod on it their breakers licence can be taken away

:yeahthat:

Plus, I think if a vehicle is Cat A then they're not even allowed to sell any spares off it and the vehicle has to be crushed immediately. Some ****** about the car being so badly damaged that they think ALL the parts now carry a risk of failing and/ or being dangerous (WTF? :nutter:)

So much for the authorities encouraging us to recycle...

are you sure it was on a cod?

Not 100%. Was probably not then.

:yeahthat: but that's not that common. Only burnt out cars or those flooded in the sea/sewage :yuck:

not so daryls first car a guy reversed out of a car park space into the rear quater, did cosmetic damage only and NUD cat A it(n)
it totaly depends on the insurance dude, i see some cat d cars that are so bad the chassi is bent so should really be a B then see some others that are cat A an b with only cosmetic damage, i think its all a con the cat a n b old cars because they know they wont get a lot at auction an cat c an d dangerous one to make more money

Tell me about it. Hoping dad's Selecta isn't a CAT C, if they try and write it off as a D we'll just tell them it's getting repaired and we'll settle through court.

Totally agree. It's a stitch up between the gov. the insurers and the car industry and is designed to get as many old vehicles off the road as possible. The category 'decisions' seem to have little to do with safety.
