Scottish based Dyno Run - Glasgow

Hello guys, I am trying to arrange a Dyno day for the Abarth guys but as there isn't a great deal of us, wondering how many would be interested from here? Will hopefully be booked for the 1st of November as that seems to suit most of us best. It will be taking place at Ecotune located at Hillington, just passed Glasgow Airport.

Would any of you guys be interested in coming along, just trying to get some rough figures.

So far we have 6 from the Abarth scene signed up for this, including myself. Marten will be there with his race spec A500 running roughly 250 bhp so worth coming along just to see/hear that thing

The date has been decided for the 28th of November and is on a Saturday. We need at least 10 people to reduce the dyno run cost from £60 per head to £40 so hoping a few of you guys can make up the numbers!

28th is the same day as the Christmas meet in Stirling. Although that's not necessarily a deal breaker depending on what time you've booked it for. Might even be a help as there'll be more of us closer to Glasgow

You guys are more than welcome to come along. Currently sitting at 8 people, Myself, Marten(250 bhp Abarth), Michaela (non abarth), AndyB, Gerry (Maserati Abarth), Andy (APE), Pete and Adam. Anything over 10 people gets us £40 prices I believe, will confirm when I book.

Can I count you as a definite Callum? If you could get me some rough figures that would be ideal Harper, can even go a spirited drive afterwards as a group, should be a decent wee day!

What time though? Too early and I won't be out of my bed (I'm 3 hrs drive from Glasgow).If it's lunchtime or thereabouts when you finish then a drive is a definite possibility

You know me... I am not a morning person. Was thinking about 11AM to start it, maybe 1PM at the latest? How does that suit?

Sounds good. I think we (or rather I) can manage that :lol: We'll probably leave some of the slower cars in Stirling and double up to head down rather than hold you Abarths back on the run. Can work it out nearer the time though.

Re-post this as I see issues with the forum caused it to be deleted.

Deposit of £10 is now required ASAP to anyone who intend to come. Trying to find out on under what circumstances the deposit is non-refundable. If it is safe is enough I will just cover the whole deposit and repay anyone who has made a payment on paypal.

Ok eveyone, I have covered the deposit myself of £100 so really need people to show up lol... its the 28th of Nov, meeting at 9am at Braehead with the dyno's starting from 9.30am.

For anyone turning up later that should be fine as they can join the queue, should be at least 7 Abarths there for the start of the runs. After some definites so I can be sure I will be getting deposit back

Callum is the only definite I have from here. To make up numbers, was thinking of asking the scottish fiat enthusiasts club also, would this cause any problems with you guys before I do?

That's good. I will ask them all then and maybe get some more faces. As for those that said they could come if it was later, feel free to come. With the cars expected at 9.30, we will likely lasts to at least noon for our own runs so if you guys turn up then can get you guys straight on

They'd love to see you there and I'll be along later in the morning although not putting the punto through it's paces as it'll a) not be worth it as it's currently on 15's instead of the usual 17's and b) probably break

Definitely Gengis! A few of us are meeting at the showcase just off the M8 at Bargeddie for half 8 in the Mcds carpark. Will meet everyone at 9 at Sainburys at Braehead.

Quickly sort out an order for FWD, RWD & AWD, get our tow eyes on then make our way there for half 9. See you there also Harper!
