Project pod is going to start shortly now that i,ve replaced the storage tray with a flip up clip board, which will be up for sale as soon as the pod is built.
The bases of the satnav pod is going to be built around the storage tray leaving the front part of the tray still usable.
Any ideas on a pod shape item to start with? any input would be great, the plan is to make it oem as possible to match the dash clock surround.

Before I got my Fiorino, I surfed a lot on the bay for bits and several times found a 2-DIN fascia for the van. It stated it fitted the Fiat but having got the van now I'm not so sure but it might be worth having a search for this as it would allow a radio unit with screen to fit the space provided with access to looms required etc. Double up as rear view and Satnav perhaps?

Just a thought.

R-V-M
(In bodyshop for a paint job atm - pics to follow :)

I did look into that R-V-M, but i like the fitted mp3 hu, and the other bits connected to it, i just think that something is missing above the hu as it looks a bit flat?! to me.
I did see something that might do to start with with a bit of modding and that was a land rover freelander dash panel cover, it will need cutting down in width to sit on the cubby panel, but still needs to take the 7'' screen of the pda i use for the satnav ect
I'll keep you updated with full build

Freelander dash cover has arrived, bigger than i thought!, ha ho.it will need a little thought as a lot of modding will need to be done, the one good thing about it is that it is the perfect length, and made of the ideal plastic for cutting and filling.
Pictures to follow.

What with work and stuff it's still on the bench ready to be done.
I've spent what time i've had on my disco set up, redesigning the consul and computer to make it more compact, updating the hard drive op system, incorporating a video projector this year.
It's just a hobby job, i do it for the fun of it, friends and family, and i do the new years party in our village hall.
So to answer your question......It has'nt yet!
