Sat Nav Update help

I have a fiat croma 2006, everything works but the sat nav, but apparently it needs an updated disc? Calling Fiat have been hopless, anyone got any idea how to make that part work until I can change the whole unit?
I'm travelling up country next week and would like that part to be working over using a phone
