Technical saab/vauxhall 1.9 (8 valve) Z19DT same as JTD?

can anyone confirm whether this is same engine as Multipla JTD? I've found some links suggesting its a FIAT engine.

As far as i know its the same engine, saab has a 2.2 tdi as well but think its less powerfull:bang:.

If you compare photos of the EGR on this site - page 2 of EGR Heaven and Hell; the eBAY site and >

there appears to be subtle differences between the two.

Also considering the length of time the units have been available and the price difference I'm sure someone would have made a connection and posted it on the web by now.

So in my opinion they are similar but not the same. Although it is possible that with a little manipulation it could be made to fit. Easier & cheaper just to blank off the valve!

so can anyone definitively say that blanking off hasn't raised the engine light for them?!

I cant find anything in any previous posts about this, or just removing the plug...
