Running - Glasgow Half/10k?

Hey People,

Any distance runner in this forum ? I kinda just started, and got a 10k event coming up in 11 june then the glasgow half.

So anyone else doing the glasgow half ?

This is running not ur fooking 0-60/quatre mile time

Maybe 10 years ago iwould have managed it in a damn respectable time but i wouldnt manage it nowadays lol

I did an army course for 13 weeks a few years ago and would of loved to do something like that.

But since then I sit at the comptuer and vegitate so I think I would die after about 1 mile

My mate did a 10k in Aberdeen last weekend though he did it in 43 minutes, no idea if thats a good time or not?

43 mins is good, just a bit more than 7 min mile.

I really hope i can do it with 45 mins mile!

Defo start if is something you really want to do, a nice and cheap hobby

Ha ha count me out Ming, after doing my Ankle in last year and working so much i don't get much time to go to the Gym, so think I would just be walking it, wouldn't even try and run.

i've just started kicking about a football again on a monday night, i'm fooked after 10min like!! lol

Just done my 10k event on the 11 June, the result came out, got 45mins 19 seconds

Not too bad for my first ever event!

Next one will be the Glasgow Half!

overall ranking was 101, and ranked 32 in my category. Total of 514 people .

The fastest guy was 33min, total nuts!!

My cousin recently did the 10k in Manchester - he finished that in just under an hour, iirc
