Hello, Final problem with my Multipla. When driving in a straight line at any speed the car is as expected fine. If I turn the wheel off center and slightly to the right i start hearing what i can describe a rubbing or probably a humming noise. It sound very like a bike dynamo is attached to the driver’s side front wheel. The humming speeds up and gets louder the faster I go and slows down and fades when decelerating. If I turn the wheel left it goes away. What can it be? Brake discs and pads were replaced 5 months ago and there are no visible marks on the tyres of rubbing.

I can't see any point of contact and it is only when the wheel is turned to the right.

Many Thanks.

I had a problem with a rubbing noise on mine last year. It turned out to be that there was a lot of play on the rear wheels, allowing them to rub against the wheel arch. I replaced the rear axle with one from a salvage yard, which fixed the problem. Try jacking the car up to see if there is any sideways movement on the wheels.
The mechanic who done the work said this was an inherent problem on the Multipla.
