MK1 parts are hard to come buy if you bag them up you could be quids-in in the future

If it's got a lot of turbo specific parts still on it in reasonable condition you could break it for a lot more than £200. Offer him silly money (£30?) and you might have a bargain source of spares

And if it really does have an LSD and an Avanti tuned engine that works well you'll have scooped bargain of the century!

He's convinced it's worth more and wont take any less, the sort of bloke that would rather watch it rot then sell it for a few quid.

IIRC, avanti weld up standard diffs, i think but im not definetly sure

Just buy it n strip it

Things like brackets and stuff are hard to come buy and some are vital to the car, pedel box for example
