Check this out,took a pic on my mobile which is better than my camera lol... found this for spares a uno turbo tuned by avanti motor sport it was used as a hill climb car i offered him 200 quid for it as i know the engine is mint plus i could use the plate on a re shell wink wink. whats your thoughts

Ahh but the engine has been fully re built and tuned to 150 bhp he said, also has a mk2 gearbox with a modded mount and has limited slip diff which was made by avantie motor sport.
You see 200 quid for that is pretty good and the best bit is the d reg plate would make a perfect re shell turbo project.
Its had 1 previous owner and was imported from the channel islands over to hear, the bloke who owns it is a motor trader so it dont count for a owner.
Good mk1 shell and a engine swap etc and you got a mint mk1 uno turbo with 1 owner from new and on a d -reg .... see me point now

avanti? down in street? they very rarely give away anything of value at such a low price, and i'd be a bit dubious about the engine claims esp as it looks like its been there since god invented man, having said that, is it works out great, but the breath is being held for now

Ahh, he claims to have the log book, its been stood up for 4 years but belive it or not but it started and ran. its down in devon near me but avantie done the work on it for him... dunno yet its all on going

Be wary of the engine if tuned by avanti i have heard a few horror stories
But nice one if all is as claimed

I personally wouldn't believe any of that. A mk2 box with an LSD is worth £500 i swear, and if the person cared for the mechanical parts on that heap with the same love an affection they showed the body......

I dont think its been used on the road in 5 years, it was used on the isle of man rallys thats why it's battered. its been stood in his yard for years in the rain then his mechanics decided to batter the body and thats the out come, still starts thou but i think i might just rob some bits from it rather than buy it.

What a waste of an uno turbo..

Seriously, buy strip it and scrap it

MK1 parts are hard to come buy if you bag them up you could be quids-in in the future

if it was close to me id snap it up pronto

Its the only way youll know if its worth anything
