General Roof rails

While I'm waiting for my Sport to arrive...

In the event that (i.e. when) the standard football stadium sized boot space proves to be too small for the entire family belongings, which we always seem to take on holiday.. I might need to occasionally fit a roof box.

For a box, I will need roof bars and for roof bars I will need roof rails.

Does anyone have a Sport with roof rails fitted? Are there genooine Fiat ones (some of the lower spec' models and the Lounges etc. didn't seem to have rails, but these must be available as Accessories?). Or is there a better manufacturer (Thule, Mont Blanc etc.) out there?

Sport has matt grey mirrors and emblems etc.. similar to the "Cross" models... so some similar coloured rails would probably look better than silver or black.. but I'm just curious what's out there at this stage. Maybe just source some Cross rails?

Roof rails can be fitted to a 500X with no roof rails as standard.

Mine has roof rails but after a certain well know make of 500X roof cross bars marked/damaged mine I ordered new ones which were paid for by the other party.

There is a full accessory kit P/N:71807430 for the SUNSHINE/TAPPO colur/finish (dusty mattish silver grey) - NOTE! not compatible with sunroof 500X)

All the bits in the above kit are:

Good links, ta. That looks like the kit that I'll want.

It doesn't mention the Sport.. but I'm guessing the description just hasn't been updated. I can't imagine the Sport has a different roof.
