right then, need to get the cinq turbo mot'd this month and it needs a rolling road session to set up the fuelling.
now seeing as i live in a large city i presumed this wouldnt be a problem

in edinburgh the (only?) rolling road is the car tuning clinic but they dont seem to have a clue(n)
RJ&sons in fife who seemed clued up have sold there rolling road:bang:
star performance who i had been emailing had said it wouldnt be a problem but have emailed to say'they have decided not to map my car' WTF

so c'mon scots give me a decent rolling road as near me as possible please:worship:

That's a shame Custard, I think Aaron has mentioned all the others in Scotland so your maybe stuck.

On a side note I am going to Star performance this month!

well you can tell them im fooked off with them;) wouldnt mind but i heard nothing for 2 days and emailed them.2days later i get an email with the above comment.looks like im going to have to trek a bit then.

cheers for the info:worship:

Ok so visited Star Performance on Saturday, was my first time at an RR.

I won't bore you's with the cars that were run etc but will only report that my friends who have been to Dastek also reported that Dastek ran a more professional operation with more safety in mind plus more data on your final print out and 2-3 runs to average out the power figure to allow for spiking.

Did you put your car on?

right im getting seriously fooked off and the turbo cinq is on the verge of SORN.
dastek are refusing to set up the turbo cinq so i now have no rolling roads in the east of scotland to my knowledge.
only way they will set it up is fitting one of their unichips at £500+ which aint going to happen.

going to have to look even further afield but with the MOT due soon i could be in trouble

dunc i wouldnt risk the turbo cinq on that length of journey just now.the trip up from london was enough till iget things sorted ;)

aaron ive fired of a load of emails to all the RR's i could find so hopefully i'll hit gold.whatever RR does it in the end will have my business for good :)

really cant believe the hassle im having.do these guys only want to do power runs?

Star were taking £20 for 2WD one time runs and £30 for 4WD again one run only and this was weekend prices, through the week a 4WD run is £100!

Is it the make or MF2 that puts them off Custard? I heard Dastek were very professional though they are being arsed to you.

basically its the mf2 as they said "they had a couple of saxos in with those and had problems"
but why they think i would pay over £500 for a unichip to remove a working mf2(could buy 2 new ones for that) is beyond logic
they left a voicemail 2 days ago and its taken me 2 days to get the guy in.only to be told they cant do the work.
why they couldnt have said that and save me phoning back is beyond me

no good im afraid, said there to busy with pugs to do other brands.
maybe i should buy a pug as having a 'one stop shop' for tuning and styling on my doorstep would be cool

Blasphemy!

I can understand buying a different marque... but Poo-got? (n) :yuck:

Custard, do you really need a remap?

There's a place near me that said they would rolling road the cinq turbo and set up the MF2 for £40 (+ vat presumably). It shouldn't take them any time at all if they know how an MF2 works.

well the cars running rich for sure.plugs show this and the rear of the car gets covered in soot from the centre exit!
car starts rfine and runs okay bar the odd hot start where it needs turned on the starter for a sec.as if it needs to clear some fuel.
partial throttle isnt so good so i tend to drive in an on/off manner if you know hwat i mean.

see this is where i think the problem lies, that the places ive talked to so far dont know the mf2.might be worth the trip if your guy knows the mf2 though i would definatly need to fit the gt brakes and fix a few bits for a long trip
