I gave it all the permissions but invited no-one and no-one got spammed, Russ is right - it is that page that sends the messages. Regardless, only installed it at work to give it a try, it's not followed me home, I'll stick with bog standard Chrome.

That page allows you to manually send friends a invite to RockMelt, it has nothing to do with the permissions you gave it when you installed it.

The permissions you gave it when you installed it is the reason your spamming friends ..

Wrong. That page ask you to send "Invites" to your friends. if you select Skip it wont send anything at all.

If you click "send" which is what i did then it will send a Invite message to all your contacts. because it automatically selects everyone.

I know what i did Its not really spamming, because it asked me to send them. I just told it to do it by accident. Spamming would be if i told it not too.

No one got spammed.
Don't like it so uninstalled it.
Sticking with the standard Chrome version.
