Hi all,

Just fitted a reversing camera to my existing kenwood 5220bt setup and thought I would share where you would find the reverse light wire.

You can find it behind the boot trim on the drivers side within the loom going through to the bumper. Better still it is accessible by looking under the drivers side rear seat. Here you will find a loom, look for the grey with a black stripe wire. This will be the wire to attach your reversing sensor / camera to.

Hope this save a few of you some time hunting for the little bugger!

I also fitted a new sub, amp and front speakers with crossover tweeters and the sound is so much better! All speakers are now driven via an amp! Normally would of done a guide as I have many times before however this time round did not have the time.

Happy to answer any questions should you require however(y)

Just a quick question, where abouts did you feed the power cable into the car from the battery for the amp, had a quick look but not see obvious place . Probably just being blind. a photo would be really appreciated if poss.

Yes this threw me for a min.

On the passenger side of the engine bay (top right corner). Under the metal frame work you will find a loom entering a rubber grommet through the fire wall (fairly big one). There is a spare entrance for a wire to be fed (will need to be pierced). Just pierce the rubber and feed your power cable through, if your lucky (i was) the cable will feed straight through to the foot well.

TBH I looked at fitting an amp ages ago but gave up as the loom did not enter in the same place as my GP and couldnt see it. 2nd time round it was so obvious I had to laugh.

Good luck

TFT LCD is just the technical name of the screen that's used (Thin-Film-Transistor Liquid-Crystal Display). If you can get us the name and model of the system you've bought I can bet there are instructions of some sort on the tinter web.
