Reverse Gear and Rear Windscreen Wiper

Ok, so as of Sunday just gone I noticed whilst pulling into my local supermarket whilst In reverse gear, the rear windscreen wiper came on. Went into neutral, it stopped. Turn car off and set all switches to off (heater, fan, windscreen wipers rear and front and lights - everything) Started car, went into all other gears to test - no response. As soon as I placed into reverse the rear windscreen wiper comes back on.

There's a cross wiring somewhere but any ideas? Help is appreciated.

Mine does the same.
I think they made it so for better visibility.
You must observe that if you got the front windscreen wipers to "off" position the rear wiper ,even if you pull into reverse gear, won`t start.
but if the front wiper are working and , you reverse, the rear wiper will start
