Has anyone ever tried this? I’ve seen material kits on eBay but the armrests themselves look as if they are plastic welded to the rest of the door card.

I’ve got to replace one on my sister in laws car that I’m having back from her after having it for two years. (She’s having a mint green 15 plate lounge I’ve just finished) as her son put his foot through the speaker grille.

I have a set of blue trimmed ones but that won’t go so I thought about retrimming. Anyone tried this?

When I got my leather seat set, there were also the two door armrests. So they are delivered separately from the rest of the door cards. I can have a closer look at them tomorrow, I did not replace them because the existing ones were a better fit. You may be right about the plastic weld, but that should not make it impossible to swap.

I’ve got several of them in my loft but I briefly looked at the back of one on eBay today. It appears from that picture that it may have lots of plastic rivets of some sort. I’ll have to investigate this further.

This is what they look like separately. So whatever fixes them is in the door cards.
