today i set about going to replace my brake pads. I think its about time. Anyway, when i went to fit them, following the haynes manual exact, I got the the part where i needed to buy the caliper back on (u know, the thing that actually pushes the pads onto the disk) and it wouldnt fit, it says in the haynes manual that i need to depress the caliper to refit it...

how do i do this? i havent got a clue!

Thanks

My Lovely Uno

I just replaced my pads 2 weeks back and I used a clap to push the prassure back on the caliper so that it can fit back on (if you know what I mean hehe ):D

Iusaly use hammer handle or what evers handy to push back the piston, don't forget you have to remove the lid from the brake fluid Reservoir first or it won't go in.
