Technical Replacement turbo or turbo bearings

Does anyone know if turbos for the 1.9td are still available?

Having looked through ePer they are the same as the ones used in the Tipo 1.9 and it gives 3 part nos. i guess for different turbos. 2 are KKK? and one is Garret. Does anyone know the Garret model number?

If they aren't available does anyone know if the turbos are easy to dismantle and replace the bearings?

If not, i guess a new turbo would be needed.

some research shows that only a garrett trubo was used on the later '96 models

garrett part no 454055-0001
Fiat part no. 77403100

Unfortunatley i have not been able to locate the garret model no. i.e gt3...

Same for the tipo too.

the TBO269 was also fitted to the Ducato commercial vehicle between 94' and '96

my hunt is on!

BTN Turbo 2002 exchange publication list these turbos at £508

buy a bearing kit on ebay. there about £30-50 quid. turbo cores are used on a wide range of turbos so its easy to get bearings.

I had 3 tempra's, and I have loads of spares inc a spare turbo in my garage. It was off the M reg one I had, if I rememember correctly. Call me on 07917 415069 if u want

Thanks David, need to get it out and have a look at it first.

Previous owner said it was the bearing seals that had split. It was over double the emissions max reading when tested so oil is obviously getting in to the system somewhere or the turbo has somehow made the fuelling system go to pot.
