Hello all,
A new member to the forum here. I have questions relating to my Fiat Doblo and I’m hoping forum members can help.
I have a high-top 2007 Fiat Doblo, which in the past was converted from WAV to a small campervan. The upper front window/windscreen (if that’s the correct thing to call it) had a leak around the seal over a long period before I got it – but I was unaware of this. For quite a while, water was leaking in and, as a result of this, there’s evidence of rust around the window. It’s been sorted on a temporary basis with sealant.
I’ve had quotes for treating the corrosion but this requires getting the window out. There’s a worry about getting the window out to do the work and then back in again, without it getting broken. More than one bodywork shop has expressed concerns about this. So, my questions are
(1) does this window come out and go back in without too much trouble or damage and
(2) if it is damaged, would it be possible to get a replacement anywhere (either from Fiat or another source)?
I’d be grateful for any advice on this.
Thanks,
Jim
