today i removed the old "limited edition" badges from the side of my car and was left with a sticky but tough residue on the bodywork, it kind of looks like silicone but it wont rub off with rubbing compound and i don't want to scrape it off in case i damage the paint so i was woundering if there was some sort of liquid i could put on it to sofen it up abit so i could rub it off? like brake cleaner or maybe petrol? something that wont damage the paintwork? any ideas anyone?
