I have some dents in the roof of my punto, which i would like to attempt to remove my popping them out as there is no paint damage!

I have taken the roof lining off and can access were the dents are, but i have tried to push them out and they pop back in again, so i tried to heat them up whilst popped out and then hold them out until it cools, but still it pops back in.

What other methods are there to try??
I saw that you tube vid where u spray the coolant stuff on it then heat it, but has anyone had any experience of that??
What other methods are they??

Thanks
ryan

If it's a minor one, a bodyshop will remove it for little money.

lol, how much do these dent removal people charge to remove dents approxiamtely??

Think there was someone on here, cant remember who, who used the heat and aerosol method and as far as i know it worked for them. Might be worth doing a search :)

Get an air duster aerosol can, invert it and spray for about 30 seconds or so. This drops the temperature right down. Then blow a hairdryer on and it should pop right out.

you heat it up 1st... then cool it down rapidly!!

Like I said, buy an Air Duster aerosol. Just make sure you invert the can before spraying.

Maplins sell one Here

not to sound arrogant, but will that definately work??
I wouldnt have thought that and air duster would be cold enough to do the trick??

Normally, when held in an upright position, the liquid contained in the can immediately changes state into a gas when it leaves the nozzle. Gases compressed into their liquids state absorb (endothermic reaction) a great amount of energy during vaporization, which is why under normal use, the can becomes quite cold to the touch. Holding the can upside-down or at a steep angle and spraying does not allow for the liquid to immediately vaporize, causing it to be released as a freezing spray.

Try it and see :)

Just seen this thread, i have quite a big dent by the back light on my Bravo. Does anyone know what sort of size dent this technique will work for?

As above really - I have some of those annoying door dings which are less than an inch across. Will this process work with them?

Come on lads. Have a read of the post. No-one on here has tried it so best bet would be to give it a go yourselves and report back.
If I get the chance I'll give it a go on the Cinq.
