Remote CL kits - which one for a Marea

As per title , again for a mates Marea it has central locking but he wants remote , does the kit that you can get for bravo/a fit or is there a different option for the marea ( does'nt appear to have a relay board in the bottom of the glove box like the bravos . Its a Mk2 "W" plate 1.8ELX

Not sure, but if marea is the same as the bravo mk2, then you need a M20/1 FT R.C. Plug out / plug in relay.
You just need to take the egzisting one out and put the new in - but the repeaters will NOT work

the yellow relay with the wire coming out (which wimmy sells) DOES NOT fit Mareas as i found out.

I think you only choice is to get an aftermarket central locking kit and fit it yourself.

i never asked fiat if they did kits

Have you fitted one then and if so which one did you use ?

got one off ebay, about £30 and a couple of hours to fit.

Just find the blue and white wires running underneath the drivers kit plate and connect up.

Found it, easy install nice little fob with excellent range

Thanx for that , when you say the drivers kick panel i presume you mean the bit of plastic to the front of the door ? .

yep the plastic panel thats runs along the sill [inside]. The loom runs from the front door to the back doors there. Inside you will find a blue and a white wire.

These are the door open and close, just splice into these with the open and close from the unit. If you get it wrong just swap them over. Take a feed from a permanent live from the fuse box.

For the indicators just run the two wires to the hazard warning light switch so that the indicators come on when you activate it.
