General Remapping the petrol 8v?

Hi :wave: was thinking of getting thise done for a bit more torque and hp instead of an induction kit because i'm still 17 and insurance wont allow it, and as re mapps are virtually un traceable i'd get it done once i get the money together.. just wondered if it was worth it for 7bhp (£180) i think.

Why not stick £180 in bank & build on it so you cant get faster car when you are 21 thus cheaper insurance.Stick £15 week by & in 4 years you have £3300 for faster car.

Yep its pretty pointless getting an 8v remapped you'll still only have 67 hp I went from a 1.2 8v punto to a Stilo JTD when I was 19, never looked back :slayer:

yeh ill probs just keep it as it is for now, i'll get a jtd soon enough maybe next year. i get bored easily, i had 3 different scooters in a year lol and it does 49+ round the doors

Its not just the bit of extra power though, it removes flat spots and improves throttle response. I would'nt bother on a 8v unless it was modded to the hills.
