Technical Regata 100sie Acceleration Problem

Hi Guys,

I have a Regata 100sie that idles beautifully but as soon as you acclerate it dies in the bum. The SPI light in the dash doesn't come on and I've checked all the wiring and piping and still can't find an answer. Fuel pump is working fine.

The other complicating thing is that sometimes you can turn it off and start it again and problem has gone completeing - very frustrating.

AHas anyone experienced this problem with their 100sie? If you have any ideas to correct the problem please let me know.

I had a similar problem on a Regata 85 I use to own but it was the carb model, it was happening becuase the 2nd choke on my carb was very dirty.... pouring redex directly into the carb cured it (for a while anyhow).

With yours being the SPI model... I would suggest trying putting some redex in the fuel mixture when you next refuel.... even if it doesn't cure the problem it should still give your fuel system a good clean!
