A light has come up on my dash - and I am not sure what it is.
It is the one next to the handbrake and brake fluid warning lamp (the one with the '!') on its right hand side. I can describe it as a cirlcle with broken lines on either sid of it.
It is not constantly on, it flickers sometimes and most od the time does not come on at all. Sometimes it is on very faintly.
The front discs and pads have been changed.
The rear shoes are a bit low but still have meat on them.
Any suggestions?
Thanks!

Front brakes worn, ive recently had this myself but also know my pads are ok but be on the safe side and check your fluid resovour and make sure your not losing any. It could be the first clue that its leaking via the slave cylinder above the gearbox so a good old nosey round is called for .

I had this a while ago too. Found that the cable that "monitors" the front pad wear had frayed and was earthing out. Cut and remade and it went away.

Suspect that on my own as only recently had them all off and repaired the wire as it had been off for months:)

i had the same problem.take the wheel off and check the cable .

Thanks,
I will have a good look round. Thanks for directing me to the front pads.
I'll post my discoveries.

Is this the red light (0) that is in the bottom left, just about level with the zero mph/kph mark? I noticed mine on very faintly last night, I'm sure in daylight it wouldn't have been noticeable.
Also the dash indicator light doesn't work when I'm signalling right when the car is well warmed up, after about 45mins in this weather, all the actual indicators work and the warning light always works for a left turn. I guess it's a dodgy connection somewhere between the indicator unit and the bulb - any one got a better idea, or any info on which wires I'd need to check?
Thanks,
John.
