Refitting Head Unit

I am about to (re)-fit an original style head unit (ebay £18.00) to the HGT and will then be searching ebay etc for a cd changer.

Unfortunately the head unit and fascia plate that is currently on looks crap (available to anyone who wants it).

On removing the existing it appears the plugs etc have been wired for that unit, does anyone know where I can get a wiring diagram for old unit and the relevant plugs.

Your help appreciated.

the only thing you will need to change is the power leads surely?

think they are the red and yellow wires.

the old head unit is a standard ISO fitment.. 2 rectangle plugs glues together to make a square plug.

does ur car have this... is there another wireing addaptor pluged into the original??

if this has been butchered off are there any coloured wires attached to it still??

a pic would be best to see just wot u have to work with and hopefully I/we can help u further.

Cheers for that. The current unit has it's own connector and therefore not the same connector as for Bravo unit. This is the connector I need and to match up the wiring to it.

yup, u need that 1... about £4 from a motor factor or £13 from Halfords.

If you already have a conector wired in.. i'd leave it there untill u have the new plug then swop eachwire at a time with the same colour thats already there...

eg.. the red with the red, yellow, black, 2 purple, 2 green, 2 white and 2 gray

that way you wont need to find out which wire does wot
