well i have officialy started my new hobby with my reef tank

yeah im looking forward to the challenge but the results when you keep it going its epic to look at

a quick pic of the first stage of set up over the next few weeks it will change dramaticly

this is basicaly just the water 128ltr tank the cleanser coral sand some ocean rock and some reef salt

water levers have all settled to normal parameters looking good so far

just usual stuff for now cleaning crew couple of hermit crabs fire shrimps turbo snails or that sort of thing maybe an anemone or 2 couple of clown fish perhaps a goby or similar not 100% decided on it will see what happens with the type of live rock i put in

Haddock to think of that, I'm a bit Crabby at the mo, so I'll just Skate off & I'm not a Shrimp, a very fishy Plaice this forum.

well its time to starrt the life and as usual a cleaning crew is required to save me doing the work hahaha

first pic is the coral going in and as you can see its a little scared

second pic shows the hermit algae eater happy and the green coral on the right is happy and open up now

I have a tropical tank but it soon started getting neglected cause, well, everything kept dying! Not sure what I was doing wrong but all my fish just fought with each other and it was just guppies and angle fish in a 64 ltr. So now I've got 1 guppy and he doesn't seem too happy all on his lonesum.

I still find coral weird. Cant believe it is actually alive! That is some good pics of it though.

yeah ill stick a picture up of the whole tank when i get back home later today

yeah the whole coral thing is still new to me and slightly creepy that when i turn the lights off the coral goes to sleep lol

some full tank size ish pictures little dakr here but shows it better with the lights off anyway
ignore the cable in front as its the protein skimmer that is at the other side so its there till i get the new multi wall socket in place
