rear window question (chavs jus smashed it)

hi guys

not entireley sure iv posted in right section but we'll see

about 20mins ago some young youthful persons in hoodies and whits socks thought id wuld be a good idea to make a huge hole in my rear window,

what i want to know is it easy enough to get a window from my local scrappy and change it or do i need to call auto glass?

Not a Punto Mk2 Sporting by chance lol? Got a rear window for one lying around here.

You probably could get the rear window from a scrappy, then get somewhere like autoglass to fit it.

I had a crack in my windscreen yesterday, autoglass wanted the better part of £500 to replace it

Got a second hand one from a breaker for £20. Dunno how much fitting would cost normally though cos my uncle is fitting it for a pint

He works for a car glass company similar to autoglass. He said the glass itself would only cost £60 brand new or £75 if I wanted one with a faded blue sun tint at the top. So the part itself isn't too costly, can't imagine a rear window would be much different, but the fitting is the costly part. Phone up and get some quotes for just fitting, see what they say.
