Rear window heater doesn't work

The rear window heater of my P reg Brava no longer works. A few days before this happened, we had some sort of ominous warning: the heater warning light wouldn't turn off.

Could anyone suggest any possible remedies?

Possibly the switch , take it out and meter it .

Thanks Andy - would it be a case of replacing the switch if it was at fault?

possibly or maybe some switch cleaner may do the job , hard to tell from here

Bottom 2 strips dont work on mine any ideas, theres no breakages

Tom mine did same would not work or turn off

so last week i took the cover off in boot and found the wire was loose and had been shorting so cleaned it up put back to-gether works fine now

if it's just two strips whilst the rest are working it is deffo a breakage in the lines across the window.
