Hi guys,

My rear drivers side wheel cambers quite a bit so i'm guessing as per my previous thread that this is the bushes on the rear swing arm.. I'm calling around to get prices for this being fixed but not sure what i'm asking for.. i was quoted £95 for a new part from Fiat and £180 for it supplied and fitted, again from Fiat.. could i get it done cheaper elsewhere?

I know i can get a bushes replacement kit but i've read that its really difficult to fit, would i be able to do it being a complete car novice?

Also, is the car safe to drive the way it is?

Thanks,

Michael

I should imagine the tyre will start the wear strangely after a while if you leave it.

I havent done it but dont think it is the first job for a novice to try as the car will be stuck if you dont succeed.
You know if you are confident to have a go but expect sheared bolts, grazed knuckles and atleast a day under the car.

I'm getting it done tomorrow at a local garage, they're charging me £120 supplied and fitted.. I just hope its the right thing that i need.. I'm going by what i was told on this forum .. the rear drivers side wheel cambers inwards slightly... so i've told them i need a rear swing arm replacing.. so i hope its correct :/

I got my rear trailing/swing arm bearing replaced a few weeks ago at £100 a side so that sounds like a good price for the whole arm.

Yeah, its getting done tomorrow now.. the part didnt arrive. the airbag failure light is illuminated.. where should i start looking to see what might be the problem? Would a blown fuse cause this?

Thanks,

Michael
