General Rear struts

Guys
How do I check if my rear struts are knackered as my front ones are def gone.
Do I dance up and down in my boot and see how may times the rear bounces or is there a more technical method?

dance like a dervish.... or get a good torch wipe the years of accumulated crap of the dampers and have a close look for leakage, but the bounce is a good way specially for hearing clonks and grinds
