The rear off-side indicator on my Multipla has stopped working, a poor connection is probably the culprit. Tried all the accessible connections around the rear lamp cluster with no success, therefore need to remove panels to find other plugs (connectors) to test. Anyone had a similar problem or were best to look?

Hi

From problems of my own with the rear light clusters (towbar wiring) the bulb holder, e.g. the grey plastic fitting that the bulb is held in, can be a pain in the a*** as the tabs that make the contacts fold in and then don't make contact. Watch your knuckles, though as the boot liner cut out isn't big enough for access to get 2 of the 4 bulbs out!

IIRC there are no connections between the boot and the start of the cluster in/ around the fuses in the glove box. If you've got a multimeter, I'd check for both a voltage, and continuity from start to end of wire at various points (pierce sleeve with prong of probe.)

I hope that these pointers help you.

Cheers

James
