rear diff oil change..

Hi all,
have a issue with a 4x4 panda val d'isere model.. i have a leak of oil from the rear differential, the mechanic said its quite bad and not worth changing due to the amount of work involved... is it possible to extend the life of the panda by toppping up the oil in the rear diff.. what kind of oil do i need, and how is it filled up in this model... i live in france so advice based on french oils (if they are different from english ones) is much appreciated.

Hi,

why didn't you post in the classic panda section? A lot of useful info inthere...

Anyway...

in the manual says: tutela w140 mda. If you cannot find this, then any oil API GL-5, SAE 85w40 will be fine.
