Hi Guys
Can anyone give me an idea of how much a rear box exhaust will cost on a 92 1108cc 60s
Thanks
Pete

i do remember a certain fitters who were fast quoting £170+ for the exhaust on a 70sx i had a few years ago, told them to poke it, went round the corner they ordered me a bosal pattern

http://www.bodyshopwarehouse.co.uk/bosal/

voila : £87 odd for the rear silencer

yours looks about the £60 marks for the rear silencer

shop around, excercise your choice! i'm willing to bet someone else in here can slaughter that price

Thanks Turboned

 Might be way off, but I don’t see the cat converter for the 1.1 (60).
above Link points to ALFA ROMEO 1.4 i.e. -16V 01/97-08/00 1370 cc, 105 HP, 77 KW M° AR33503 T° 930A3A.

:) Please be sure you get the right one.
Kind Regards,

Gonna get a price from an exhaust garage and my local motor factors since its an easy job will do it myself if the price is not too much in diff.

Like SuperUno, I got a complete system for my '86 FIRE (non CAT, front manifold back) for less than GBP 50. Check through the Yellow Pages and try and find a trade exhaust retailer. Don't use a high street Quick Fit type as they charge over the odds for fitting.

Most trade retailers will sell to the public, especially if you offer to pay cash.

Only downside is that you have to fit it yourself. Not a difficult job really, only problem is normally getting the rear box section flange to disconnect from the centre section. This has to be separated else you can't get the rear box over the rear axle.

However, if you're replacing the whole system you can cut the pipe with a hacksaw :)

Use proper exhaust gasket sealant, new manifold to downpipe gasket, rubber hangers and 'U' clamps. WD40 helps with rusted bolts. The Trade exhaust places will sell all these as well and they're not expensive.

If all goes well the job can be done in about a couple of hours or so.

Total cost for my Uno exhaust + parts was about GBP 50. The Kwick Fit places wanted well over GBP 100 to fit one.

Money saved!
