dont know about power but if you have changed a lot on the car e.g. exhaust system induction kits all that sort of stuff then it would be best just to get it done for the sake of it :0)
That's what I meant; a 20VT Coupe is aroung 220bhp I beleive? I don't think that a remap alone will give an extra 60or so bhp. You'll be looking at mega-bucks high lift cams etc etc. Added to that, you'll be looking at a bigger bore exhaust system and increased induction etc.
Would no doubt be fun to drive and even more fun finding an insurer.
I got told a starchip would add 12-14BHP and 18nm of tourque from morgo.com on a HGT155 apparently it improves throttle response as well. Its not a remap though, straight chip.
there is a video on the net somewhere trying to find it at the mo think it was at dastek that a 20vt was running over 280Bhp with 1.2 boost full exhaust and the remap thats it
apparently , as of the end of this summer dastek have developed a unichip for the 155's fly by wire throttle. would like to see how much throttle response and torque it gives
sorry RR, didn't realise that what you were saying already what i was essentially repeating with more words (i often use 10 words when 2 will do)
but now i re-read it, i see it.
