Re-lining a parcel shelf..advice please

Hi all
In a kind of ICE reshuffle I'll probably be removing the 6x9's currently on there..
Any ideas on relining the shelf to cover the holes?Or is it easier to just get an aftermarket shelf..?

they are less than £50 from fiat or just get some grey carpet and glue it on, waxacar used to do bass box carpet on ebay for £5

when i originally had 6x9's in the parcel shelf i covered the whole shelf with black cloth as you can see in the pic below. Cloth is what you need not carpet.
