Technical Random unused wires and connectors 2009 2.3

On the drivers side of the engine compartment there are two random disconnected cables and connectors. Everything seems to run ok and I assume they are redundant connectors from a universal harness but it’s still a little disconcerting. The two pin one has a red and black wire. The three pin one has a red / yellow and red and black wire. Reassuring words would be appreciated!

My 2.8jtd has a similar connector dangling at the front of the engine. I was able to match the colours with those shown in eLearn, for an optioal engine oil sensor. In your case brake fluid level comes to mind.
