Hi all. Just got my 2x80 dual pipe Ragazzon exhaust fitted. Got a great deal from Ragazzon's HQ in Italy and took it home during a trip to Italy two weeks ago.

Overall the exhaust is pretty impressive - I can easily tell the difference in throttle response. It's much more direct, awesome improvement over the stock one!

However I am not a bit happy about the sound. I've just read all the threads about Ragazzon exhausts and I understand sound is not company's top priority, it's performance. But there are also a couple of videos showing a pretty acceptable improvement in sound, here's one: .

Mine is not even close to this in lower revs/idle. It's even worse than the stock one, it's completely silent - the engine sound takes over completely. In higher revs I can tell the difference, there is a noticeable "woosh" sound - not very deep, but fine with me for long trips. Idle/lower revs is a complete disappointment though.

Something has to be wrong, the same exhaust sounds much better in YouTube videos and most people here report noticeable change in sound - lower tone, stronger sound.

Could it be that the exhaust needs to...I don't know, "settle in"? Any help would be appreciated :)

ahhahahah awesome! Thats my video!!

Yes it takes AT LEAST one week to bed in and sound better!

ive had mine on for nearly 3 years and its just sounds better and better!

Wife drives the bravo now!

Im driving a v6 gt with a quad way ragazzon dtm exhaust and well thats sounds amazing!! :D

Just the back box...

I also have the TMC chip but i dont think that will be doing anything for aural purposes.

hey Lyub,

Did you only change the back box? ... I heard similar that it needs weeks if not months to "break in"

I changed just the middle silencer to a ragazzon straight through pipe... with the original backbox and that helped a lot both for Idle and especially being whipped.

I would say - patience and change the middle silencer to a pipe!

Cheers

Exhausts get louder as the packing gets blown out and carbon deposits build up over time.
You will soon notice the smile on your face getting wider and wider every time you press the accelerator.

Removing the centre box will make it purr more but it also causes cabin drone, if you can live with that.
